by CP Staff
Pennsylvania State Police reported on Monday that Charles E. Meyer, 75, East Waterford, hit a horse and buggy near the 19000 block of Path Valley Road in Dry Run, PA.
Police reports indicate that Meyer was traveling north on Route 75 when his 2007 Ford Mustang impacted the buggy from behind.
Enos Z. Beiler, 58, Spring Run, was operating the horse and buggy and suffered several minor cuts and bruises, according to police. Beiler refused treatment from emergency medical services personnel.

Police said the horse was not injured in the crash, but both the buggy and Mustang sustained disabling damage.
The state has funded an awareness program, through Ohio State University, to implement effective public information programs and campaigns that focus both on the Amish and non-Amish communities.
In 2006, according to state records, there were 58 such crashes resulting in property damage, 60 injury crashes and four resulting in fatalities.
